Sugarloaf Campground

Please view the Press Release from the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee Grassland regarding day use fees in several districts.

  • Sugarloaf Campground is a first-come, first-served campground located in the Williams Fork Valley.

    Facilities: There are 11 non-electric sites that will accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs. Each site contains a tent pad, fire grate and picnic table. Additional facilities include restrooms and trash service. Drinking water is available at the South Fork Campground a half mile away.

    Natural Features: Due to the mountain pine beetle epidemic and hazard tree removal, this campground offers no shade.

    Recreation: Popular activities include hiking in the Arapaho National Forest and nearby Byers Peak Wilderness, scenic driving and wildlife viewing.
